"Crimmigation" is a mini-documentary examining the world of immigrants, which follows Alejandra Pablos as she fights the immigration enforcement system and challenges our notions of what it means for a human being to be fully free. The film tells the story of how the U.S. government created the deportation machine by intertwining criminal laws in the context of immigration enforcement. It raises questions of our own attitudes toward those targeted by police and how that may pave the way for mass criminalization and deportation of immigrants in the country as we see it today.

“Crimigración” es un minidocumental que examina el mundo de las personas inmigrantes. Se sigue a Alejandra Pablos mientras lucha contra el sistema de control de inmigración y desafía nuestras nociones de lo que significa para un ser humano ser completamente libre. La película cuenta la historia de cómo el gobierno de Estados Unidos creó la máquina de deportación entrelazando leyes penales en el contexto de la aplicación de la ley de inmigración. Plantea preguntas sobre nuestras propias actitudes hacia aquellos que son acosados por la policía y cómo eso puede allanar el camino para la criminalización masiva y la deportación de las personas inmigrantes en el país, tal y como lo vemos hoy.
